Struggling graduate student Zhang Guangsheng (Ding Xinhe) loses his professor’s dog and enlists his deadbeat dad (Yu Hai) to help retrieve the missing pooch before his careless mistake jeopardizes both his graduation and future career.

The feature debut from Chinese writer/director Jiang Jiachen, LOOKING FOR LUCKY is a rousing man-and-dog comedy composed of just 61 shots. This biting satire and endearing portrait of a father-and-son relationship had its world premiere at the Hong Kong International Film Festival and won Ding Xinhe the Best Actor Asian New Talent Award at the Shanghai International Film Festival.
